Hello again folks!

We thought we would share a little bit of information regarding  your Event Planner and Music Planner  (available in either paper form, or at midwestsound.com in the Music Planner and Event Planner tabs.)

These two planners are super important, and are a huge help to us as we prepare all of the details for your dance. They give us an “inside look” at your big day, helping us understand you, your music, and your group so that we can help make sure everything is just so the day of your event.

All of the details that you describe to us not only provide your dj with many of the tools they’ll need to help make your night a success, but also help our scheduling team as they select the best entertainer for you and your group.  Additionally, thoroughly completing your planners helps our music department compile all of the songs you definitely want to hear so that your dj is sure to have them along.

We thank you in advance for the time you spend completing your planners, and look forward to finding out more about your vision for your celebration.

…(what with all the sleet and snow today in Minneapolis), but Spring,  Summer, and this years wedding season are just around the corner!

To those of you who have everything checked off the list for your upcoming wedding, congratulations!

Doesn’t it feel great to have everything in place?

We would like to offer some quick, hopefully helpful advice to all the folks still finalizing their plans for 2011:

When you find a vendor at a price within your budget that you feel good about, go for it!

Many of the vendors you are considering will probably mention how in much of the industry, pricing changes with availability. Just like in the airline industry: if there are a bunch of empty seats, prices are at their best. If the plane is almost full, it’s usually a full price ticket. It’s important to note that even though it may at first seem like a “cheesy sales tactic” when this is first mentioned to you by a vendor, it’s not!

Early planners always get the best prices, and their pick of vendors. Late planners (and those who wait once they find what they’re looking for) usually pay a higher price. Basically, there simply isn’t a reason to wait once you find what you’re looking for.  Prices do go up the longer you wait, and vendors you may have wanted to use do sell out, sometimes incredibly fast.

Well, we made it through a chilly, snowy February here in Minnesota and now March has arrived. Ten foot high piles of snow are everywhere, but before you know it they’ll be replaced by green grass and leaves.

We took part in so many different bridal shows in January and February, and now we’re all getting geared up for the coming wedding season. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hi at our booths- it was wonderful meeting you!
